"I was told tweezing will make the hairs grow back thicker and stronger and more hairs to come in." I've heard it a thousand times. And it's wrong.
If an electrologist told you that, they're misinformed, at best. Tweezing and waxing don't change the DNA of your hair. In fact, repeated tweezing and waxing can damage the follicle and make hairs grow back finer or, eventually, stop completely. Ask any woman who tweezed her brows into oblivion in the 1990s and wants those hairs back today.
Tweezing and waxing are temporary. It can be hard on your skin. It can be painful. It can lead to ingrown hairs. But it does not cause more hairs to grow. Hormones do that, not tweezing, not waxing. There's a lot of misinformation out there.
